I have been patching a modular synthesizer into non-linearity so that it starts singing dependent on initial conditions. The patterns it makes represent to me a meditation on ecology and geometry. I hear a primordial soup of sound begging improvisation. To experience emergent properties of systems as musical intent was a revelatory musical experience for me; one I feel fortunate to be able to share with you.
